A P P E A L

We, of the mother city of Osh city and Osh oblast, Kyrgyz Republic, appeal for peacekeeping troops into the country, because our population is under the most cruel torture and inhuman indignities. 

It began June 10, 2010 in the evening. Snipers opened fire on civilians with automatic weapons. Without stopping, killing everyone, started to burn the houses, burned alive children and adults, raped girls and women, cruelly mocking them. And many burned alive.

Residents of the neighborhood of Cheryomushki in the city of Osh were left without roofs over their heads, from the streets of Karasu, st. Navoi Str. Yoshlar, neighborhood Furkat Str. Mazhnuntol Str. Zhiydalik, Prospect Masalieva etc. Many were forced to flee their homes. Today is June 17, 2010. It was reported that the situation in Osh is stabilized. But in reality, the violence and arson continues, and snipers are still killing people. The dead are much larger than reported by the media.

People are burying the dead in their yards, because there is no possibility to leave the house because of threats from the outside.

 This is also a growing humanitarian emergency. Humanitarian aid is coming from all countries, but never reaches the final recipients.

We believe that resolution of the situation in the country can only be achieved by peacemakers. Therefore, please immediately send international independent experts to objectively evaluate the current situation and put peacekeepers into the country to prevent further bloodshed. We do not trust the mayor of Osh, law enforcement, the troops of the Republic of Kyrgyzstan, militias, to which persons of Uzbek nationality are hardly ever recruited.
